I just have one book to share this week, but it definitely had a lot of hype around its release.

cress
Cress (The Lunar Chronicles #3) by Marissa Meyer I couldn’t wait to read Cress as soon as I got it. I enjoyed reading it, but I don’t feel the same love for the series that I know some other bloggers do.

What books did you guys get this week? Let me know!

Did you miss me?

I am back after some pretty crazy busy weeks. I don’t plan on any other long breaks like that, but I am going to have to slowly ease back into the blogging groove. I have comments and emails and all of that fun stuff to get caught up on, too.

In the meantime, I got several books that I have anxiously awaited.

secret Overall, this book is so much better than what you would think based off that cover. It took quite a different turn from the previous book in the series, but I really enjoyed reading it.

I did a major happy dance when I saw this gorgeous cover in the library. I kind of wished I had re-read The Archived before reading this one, but the story moved fast and kept me interested the whole time.

So, you remember how I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one? Well, I was pretty disappointed. I just didn’t fall in love with the narrator’s voice. It’s hard to pinpoint why this book and I didn’t click, but I just feel pretty meh about it.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. (That might have been a bit excessive. But then again, maybe not.)

happydanceI finally read it. I went from being unconvinced about the series to not being able to get enough. Were there some things I wish were different? Yes. Did I love the book despite those things? Of course. If you’ve read the book too, feel free to hit me up on Twitter or wherever so we can talk about it!

What books did you guys get this week? Have you read any of the ones I got? Let me know!

It has been a crazy week! I haven’t been posting or commenting as much because I have signed on to help costume my school’s musical, and it takes up about all of my free time. I still found time to go to the library, get books in the mail, and go to my library’s used book sale.

After the massive book haul from last week, I really shouldn’t be adding any more books to my shelves. Also, it’s finals week, so the blog may only be updated infrequently for a while. Buying new books will be my reward for finishing this semester.

But, I still managed to get a few books this week.

bittersweet embersThank you to Holly at Novel Bliss! I won her giveaway for her blogoversary and received a copy of BittersweetFrom the library, I had to get The Crown of EmbersNow, I am eager to get my hands on the third book.

That’s it for me this week. What did you guys get this week?

steelheartI keep seeing Steelheart everywhere, and it is coming pretty highly recommended by some fellow blogging friends. I have some high hopes and it seems like it will be a pretty action-packed fun book to read over the break.

What books did you add to your shelves this week? Have you read Steelheart? Let me know!

Thanks to Thanksgiving Break, I had the chance to buy and read so many books. Just click on the covers to be taken to Goodreads.

I would say that is more than enough books for me at the moment. Now I want to know which books you added to your shelves. Have you read any of the ones listed above? Let me know!

I visited my school’s library this week and was delighted to see that they have added so many new releases! I had to restrain myself from checking them all out, but I couldn’t resist getting just one.
